A one and one-half hour group visit
is the right choice for early childhood or mixed-age groups.
Explore & More features over 30 hands-on activities. Your group
will love exploring Building Curiosity, Food Glorious Food,
Let's Figure It Out, and the Culture Corner featuring four different
countries. Throughout the museum, you'll discover exciting activites
which are most developmentally appropriate for children ages
one to ten. Many activities celebrate the similarities and differences
of people and cultures around the world.
With groups of ten or more, you pay only $4.00 per person, and
for every five children, one chaperoning adult is admitted free
of charge!
Most group visits are scheduled Wednesday through Friday, with
larger groups (more than 30 children) scheduled on Mondays and
Tuesdays. Reservations are required.

A museum full of hands-on
exhibits is the perfect place to bring your class. Explore &
More supports curricula dealing with nutrition, architecture,
problem-solving, multi-cultural topics and more.
Included in the workshop/visit for school-age children is a
moderator-directed activity in a separate workshop room. Your
choice of activity allows more in-depth exploration of a topic
addressed at the museum. In addition, a take-home passport helps
students during their self directed explorations at Explore
& More.
Larger groups are scheduled on Mondays and Tuesdays, when the
museum is closed to the general public - usually allowing your
group to have the entire museum to themselves! Each visit is
scheduled for one and one-half hours.
This special visit to Explore & More is just $5.00 per student
in groups of 20 - 70. Supervising adults are free of charge
(8:1 minimum adult-student ration; 5:1 or less is better).
