With hundreds of different exhibits designed for kids ages 1 – 10 and regularly scheduled activities and events throughout the year, Explore & More is fun for the entire family.
The museum was founded in 1994 by a grassroots group of parents, educators and designers focused on one goal — creating quality exhibits and programs for children and families. Since that time, the museum has steadily grown, expanding exhibits and programs each year. Check out exhibits, events, and the fantastic birthday parties for more information! NEW! Au-some Evenings is an exciting new program at Explore & More dedicated to children with autism spectrum disorders and their friends and families. Developed in collaboration with The Children's Guild Foundation Autism Spectrum Disorder Center at Women & Children's Hospital of Buffalo and the Center for Autism Support and Education (CASE), it's the first program of its kind in Western New York. Once a month, these special Au-some Evenings will give children with autism spectrum disorders, their friends and family an opportunity to play and learn together in an understanding and supportive environment. Through generous support from Hodgson Russ, the program will be free of charge to participants. See our calendar for dates and rsvp information. For any child apprehensive about visiting Explore & More for the first time, download our Social Story, and help familiarize your family with what to expect.
Explore & More is a non-profit organization that provides an environment for creative play and learning through hands-on exhibits, activities and programs that spark creativity, curiosity and imagination. Your support helps keep vital programs available to everyone in the community. Individuals and groups are always encouraged to get involved with the museum!
